The 14th February is Valentine's
Day, celebrated in many countries with the customary giving of flowers, heart
shaped chocolates and cards. Finding any reason to celebrate and have a good
time, I'll be making a special dinner tonight and I think we'll open a bottle of wine, or maybe have some cocktails
(shaken not stirred of course!). There is an adorable film called
"I Hate Valentine's Day" that came out in 2009 starring John Corbett
and Nia Vardalos. If you haven't seen it, it's well worth watching. Spending most of my time at home, I grab any excuse for a celebration, so today I'm not going to think about Parkinson's and I wont let it ruin my
day. I am pushing it out the door, like an unwelcome relative that came to stay
overnight, but ended up moving in permanently. I actually know of someone's
grandma who came to visit for the weekend and ended up staying 17 years! However
she was a lovely lady and welcomed into the family with open arms. Wherever you
are, and whatever you do today, I hope you have a lovely time should you decide
to revel in a little romance.
About me
PROFILE:
I have been writing poetry and stories since I was a child, and a love of reading was instilled in me from an early age. I am passionate about writing, and hope you enjoy the books I have written. Whilst most of you sleep soundly in your beds, like many Parkinson’s patients, insomnia dictates, so during those hours that sleep eludes me, the house is tranquil and quiet, an atmosphere perfect to immerse myself in writing. My life has been a series of strange events, which have without doubt contributed to my creativity. To publish anything is to bear one’s soul to the world. It is to stand naked and let everyone see who you really are. I have poured my heart and soul out on paper and I hope to share this journey, immersing you in a story, capturing your attention and firing the imagination. Through my writing and public speaking I hope to bring greater awareness to the general public about living with chronic disease.
